Doha, Qatar – Avanceon has been awarded a contract for enabling the control system infrastructure for smart metering and management of Irrigation and Potable water networks in Qatar. The state of Qatar is investing heavily in multiple water conservation and management projects; this project is part of state’s effort in smart management of irrigation and potable water for agriculture and other domestic uses.
Avanceon proposed solution consists of 09 Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) for metering data collection and their connectivity with central SCADA. Detailed scope of project includes:
- Design, engineering, supply, configuration, testing & commissioning of nine Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) as per approved specifications
- Enabling GSM connectivity between RTUs and central SCADA
- Supply of the system hardware, software and its accessories for communications backbone
- Project services will include:
- Project Planning & Management
- Panel Manufacturing for RTUs
- Site Acceptance Test (SAT)
- Documentation
- Testing and Commissioning
The proposed system will adopt the most current proven technology standards allowing for a robust, secure and cost-effective solution. Avanceon expects to complete the project within the agreed timeline.
